SUMMARY:Water Testing Program
DESCRIPTION:The Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District offers the following 5 water test kits.  Kits are available for pickup at the District office during business hours\, in boxes outside the Indian Lake\, and at most town offices in the county. Kits are available at all times in the lower vestibule of the District office. \nKit 1\nUnchlorinated Water Bacteriological – total coliform / E. coli qualitative (presence/absence):  $ 35.00\nUnchlorinated Water Bacteriological – total coliform / E. coli quantitative (enumerated):  $ 45.00 \nKit 2\nChlorinated Water Bacteriological – total coliform / E. coli qualitative (presence/absence):  $ 35.00\nChlorinated Water Bacteriological – total coliform / E. coli quantitative (enumerated):  $ 45.00 \nKit 3\nLead and Copper: $45.00 \nKit 4\nWater Quality (total hardness\, calcium hardness\, chloride\, sulfate\, fluoride\, turbidity\, conductivity\, alkalinity): $105.00 \nKit 5\nNitrate/Nitrite: $35.00 \nFollow instructions in the kit.  Water samples must be collected on the morning of the delivery date\, refrigerated from time of sampling\, and chilled during delivery to the Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District.  Be sure water samples do not freeze. Samples must be accompanied by cash or check and the completed lab form in ink when you deliver your samples.  Please make checks payable to Hamilton County SWCD.  Lab analysis will be performed by the Mohawk Valley Water Authority\, and certified results will be sent to you directly from the lab.
